| Following several reported sightings of large dark coloured cats in a remote area of East Anglia we made the journey to a spot where two adults and a cub had been spotted. We spent around five hours staking out the wood and open fields nearby, searching for foot prints and other evidence we found none, but have since had other sightings in the same area reported so we will return for a more lengthy observation. The area is very suitable for large cats to live without being disturbed, the area was surrounded by large expanses of open ground, large hedges and two or three reasonable sized woods, deer are plentiful in the area, we saw a few in an adjacent field, the amount of deer tracks proved high levels of food available in the area. |
