| Our first ever Big Cat field trip. Having read a lot of reports and seen all of the camcorder footage on the television, this was our first actual trip out to try and locate a Big Cat.We went to a location in East Anglia where we have been informed of two recent sightings, the area was slightly overgrown and had two corn fields to the side.We spent nearly three hours walking around the area, we found numerous rabbits, head in one location, body left in another, one possible print, but it was so faint there was no way to make a cast, the ground was so dry even the nights rain hadn't softened it up, so looking for tracks was not even a possibility.Around one side there is a raised bank, overlooking where the rabbits were found, this backed onto the corn fields, at two points along the top there were two large areas of flattened grass that gave a good vantage point over the area below, but this could have been made by anything, there are a lot of deer in the area.Being our first trip for some reason we never took any photographs of the rabbits or the look out points, next time we will be more keen to get something down in print. This is the first entry into the Our Diary section of our new website, we will be putting all our trips up here for reference, this one is kind of brief as we haven't got anything to show you… |
